What do you think about all the YA books that are being turned into movies? Do you like it or are you afraid they'll ruin the books for you?
My Response: For starters, I love the fact that studios are recognizing YA books as great movie makers. But, must you kill some of them? I was a huge fan of the Twilight series, but once the movies came out....blah. I personally think those movies are ridiculous and the actresses and actors just don't capture the feel of my once loved characters. I'm really hoping that The Hunger Games doesn't end up on the same path. I'm not sure what to think, especially after watching the trailer. Does it look cool or a little on the corny, low budgeted side? I'm still on the fence, what did you ladies and gents think about it? I'd really love to hear your thoughts! If you haven't watched it yet, check it out below...
What are your bookish thoughts?

I love when they are made into movies. It doesn't change my opinion of them when they are done...even if the movie is bad. But I always prefer to read it before I watch it.

I tend to be both nervous and excited for YA to movie adaptations. It's fun to see a book come to life on a screen, but sometimes they just don't get it right at all. I don't mind a few deviations from the story, but it would be nicer to see it the way it should be (like Holes! Fun book + movie)
The trailer for THG looks promising, so I hope they stick to the book and manage to pull it off!
I am split completely down the middle when it comes to YA books becoming movies! I get excited at first, then once I see the cast I usually get annoyed lol I never like who they cast in the roles, and they always ruin the plot by leaving bits and pieces out!! But in the end, I love the books so much it's hard to refrain from watching the movies lol
:)
I get really excited when I see a trailer of a YA book that I really fell in love with but usually after watching the movie I find myself complaining the whole time about how it didn't live up to the novel and not to mention I can't stand how they always seem to leave out some key components from the novel. Right now i'm really excited for The Hunger Games and i'm hoping, wishing, crossing my fingers that they do justice to the trilogy.
I love when books get made to movies especially books I absolutely love like City of Bones I can't wait for that one. Harry Potter was amazing and even though it didn't follow the book as closely I still loved where they put their own creative side in. The actors were all amazing. For City of Bones I am still sad Alex Pettyfer isn't playing Jace but that won't stop me from loving the movie I know it will be great.
