Books For Thought: If you could marry a character, who would it be?

Look familiar? Monday's Question of the Day, officially has a new name! The previous title seemed a bit dull, so I decided to spice it up. Books For Thought is a Monday feature where I post a book-related question up for discussion. I am open to all opinions and enjoy reading diverse comments from my lovely followers. I look forward to picking your minds!

Have a question idea? Share it here and I'll give you credit.

If you could marry a character, who would it be and why?

My Response: Ah! So many book bachelors to choose from! I've always had a crush on Jace from The Mortal Instruments series and Alex from Perfect Chemistry. They are both the complete bad boy package. However, would I want them as a hubby? Probably not, way too much drama for my taste. I don't want to be dodging demons with Jace and bullets from Alex's gang affiliation. I'd honestly want to marry Peeta from The Hunger Games. Not only is he a cutie but he loves and cares unconditionally. I absolutely adore when a man is willing to go to the depths of the earth to make his other half safe and happy. I'm not really into blonds (he is blond right? it's been a while, so I'm a bit forgetful) but, I'd make an exception for him.

Now, if I was basing my marriage on looks alone, I'd jump Will's bones from The Clockwork Angel. His dark hair and light eyes tickle me pink. Now, since Jem is in the picture too, I might have a quick affair since he is half Asian after all. And well, if you knew me I love Asians and the temptation might be too much. Not that I am a cheater or anything, you just can't say no to Cassandra Clare characters hehe. Yes, so um back to Peeta, he would be my overall decision. ;)

What are your bookish thoughts?

Most definitely either Bones from the Night Huntress series or Barrons from the Fever series.I really can't decide between those two.
Also I wouldn't mind settling down with Dimitri from Vampire Academy lol

Oh Dimitri is my pick. Wait, Barons from the Fever series would be good too!

Definitely Jace from The Mortal Instruments series. He's always been my favorite character. Plus, I seem to fall for blonds! :)

Jamie Frazier from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. He so protective and loves with his whole heart plus his family is really important to him.

Definitely Peeta!

That's a tough one! Who would want as my partner in marriage for the rest of my life... Well, Peeta seems like a good choice, actually, and I also think Ron Weasley would be a good hubby, but I might go with someone a little less popular on this account: Walter Emerson from the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters. He was a secondary character who was very chivalrous, adventurous, smart and caring, if I remember correctly.
I like what you said about Peeta, though; that he would to extreme lengths for his beloved. Love like that is heroic and self-sacrificing. I love that kind of love.

Well first I'd marry Jamie Fraser from the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. But Peeta is definitely a close second!!!! :) Haha, I really love this post. Very entertaining. :) Especially reading everyone else's response.

Valek from Maria V. Snyder's Study Series for me. If not him then Ronald Weasley. Two completely different characters but hey. Both extremely protective of their woman.

I, too, would marry Peeta from The Hunger Games :) He's sweet and kind, with a heart of gold. (He kinda reminds me of my real husband, aw.)

If I couldn't have Peeta, then maybe Howl from Howl's Moving Castle...Howl can be a dramatic king, but that cracks me up. I'd love to help him with his issues.

I think I am way to much of a book-hoe to pick just one book-husband!! Can you really blame me with the vast number of book-hotties out there?

Can I say I want a badass in the bedroom and a sweetheart in my heart? LMAO

My bad boy choices are: Bones from Night Huntress, Gideon from Lords of the Underworld or Jace from Mortal Instruments.

My sweetheart choices are: Peeta (I totally agree) or Sam from Shiver.

Bones from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost :) YUMMMM!
My new favorite from this year would have to be St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss :)

Keenan from the Wicked Lovely series because I think I'd make a great Faerie Queen, LOL!

Jace from The Mortal Instruments series because he's just freakin hot and cocky which I love.

Wait, can I have both? ;-)

Oh wow! That's tough! There is so much man candy out there. I'm with you on jumping Will's bones (from Clockwork Angel) but I'm also still weak in the knees for Finn from Tyger Tyger. Oo oo oo or Rhode from Infinite Days! Or Sam from Shiver! Gah! Too many choices! Maybe I can put them on a rotating schedule ;)

To marry?

I think I'm gonna have to stick with the classics here: Darcy from Pride and Prejudice or Rochester from Jane Eyre or Thornton from North and South.

Or Lord Maccon from Soulless. Yum.

I have a thing for moody, arrogant dark and brooding men so for me it was always going to be Edward Cullen or Mr Darcy. - maybe both LOL.

I like your new logo and title for this feature.

For books I would have to decide between
-Richard Rahl from the Sword of Truth Series
-Jamie Fraser from Outlander
-Zanal from Freedom's Landing
-Peeta from Hunger Games

From TV
-Malcolm Reynolds
-Dean Winchester
-Richard Castle

I can't pick just one

I'm a huge Bones (Jeaniene Frost) fan. I haven't found another male that can top him ... at least in my eyes.

Great question...I don't know about marriage, but I'd love to spend some alone time with Four from Veronica Roth's Divergent. He's replaced Gale from the Hunger Games for me in the lust department!

Uhm, difficult to pick...

Jace from Mortal Instruments, Damon from Vampire Diaries or Gale from Hunger Games. They can be with me in my spare time.

But to marry with, it's definitely Dimitri from Vampire Academy :)
