My 2011 New Year's Resolutions!

Ah it's time for the new year's resolutions post. Mostly every year I make this list and rarely follow it. However, this time around I will make it my business to succeed in each statement listed here. If not, I'm sure it'll creep into my 2012 list hehe. Better late than never right?

2011 New Year's Resolutions:

1) Continue to blog daily no matter what. Unless I am bleeding to death and can't manage to reach the keyboard. I tend to have OCD with my blog, so I doubt that'll change in 2011.

2) Let go of my pride and find a job that pays anything, yes, desperation has set in. I guess the college degree can go out the window, thank you economy for ruining it. Plus, I need money to support giveaways and the obvious book addictions we all suffer from.

3) Move out! I'm in the process of looking for a house, must be out by the middle of next year. The crazy Greeks are driving me insane. In addition, the future hubby is constantly nagging he wants to move in already. He must be a different breed. I've never met a guy that was feigning to get married, hm I guess I got me a keeper (for the most part.)

4) I need to shed at least a good 20 pounds. I need to get my sexy back. Maybe BEA will be my motivation, must be up to par with my photo. I know, I'm weird.

5) Read more review books! If only I could read straight for a day, unfortunately I need time for my Korean dramas and TV shows. Damn my second obsession. Luckily, I always respond to e-mails fast, so I don't have to fix that problem, phew.

6) Be a better friend. I have a tendency of not calling people and just texting them hello. No no in my book. Sometimes a nice chat can go a long way. I want to show my appreciation to those who stick by me.

7) Continue to love my followers and fellow bloggers. I make it a priority to remind them how great they are. Yeah I know, shut up already....I just can't help it! I am a mush. :)

8) Learn to cook more recipes -- I love experimenting! I will master some of Chef Ramsey's dishes, I love that man.

9) Get my driver's license! I am such a slacker when it comes to driving. My fiance and I already own a brand new car, yet I don't have the urge to drive it. It makes no sense - I blame my phobia of car accidents. Unfortunately, I will learn to drive without a choice. My family is in Brooklyn, NY and I'll be moving to Queens, NY so evidently driving would help with the distance.

10) Last but not least, try to stay positive. 2010 brought a lot of stress and heartache which dampened my positivity. I'll try my hardest to look at the bright side of things in 2011. After all there are so many amazing YA releases coming out, how could I not smile? Plus, I am looking forward to BEA (hopefully everything is fine with my registration, blah.) I can't wait to see my blogger crew (Sherry, Emily, Taschima, Lexie, etc.) and also meet more bloggers.

So bye bye 2010 - it's been cool, but it is time to move on...

I'm curious to know, what are your new year's resolutions?

Awesome resolutions! Read more review books is on my list as well, especially the ones I was sent back in '09. I also want to be better at posting every day. I'm usually good at that, but when school started year I only had time to write about 3-4 post per week, which wasn't bad but still... Loosing weight was one of my big ones for '10. I've lost about 40 pounds since June and I hope to continue to loose some more weight as 2011 progresses. It was hard at times but really worth it, so I wish you the best of luck with your own weight goal.

Great list of resolutions! OMG you don't have your license? But you're a New Yorker, you peeps don't drive much. I wish we had an awesome subway system here in SoCal like you guys do.

Here are a few of mine:

-Run. Specifically run to lose weight. (This is putting the bar pretty high since I've never ran a day in my life.)

-Read 100 books

-Review books quickly after reading (I'm like you where they start piling up. I have 8 to write up at this very moment.)

-Limit myself with online activity.

You just reminded me that I need to do my own resolution post! Some great resolutions. I'm with you on so many--lose weight, be more positive (blerg!), read & comment on more reviews.

Well, here's to a happy & successful 2011!
Happy Reading in 2011!

My goal is to get a literary agent this year. It would be the BIGGEST goal at least. :)

Great list. I don't ever have any resolutions. This way I never have to look back and say "I failed." I can fail just fine without predicting my failures ;-)

Great list! Good luck with the job - i tried to get anything, but so many places didn't want to interview me because I had a college degree. I was going to take it off my resume, but have a friend that works in background checks and she said not to bother, it is one of the first things that shows up.

Great list :) Good luck with all of it, can't wait to hear about how you've reached all your goals. :)

Good luck with all your goals, I need to do up my post. Sounds like the fiance is a keeper. Mine wanted to get married when he was 21 (I was a few years older) which certainly surprised me. He basically said "I can't see being without you so we might as well make it official.." lol. :) Hope you get a house! I wish we could afford one, my rent is going to kill me if it goes up next year.

I have a lot of the same resolutions. Especially the one with losing weight. I want to start doing vlogs, but not if my fat butt is going to be reflected back at me, haha. :) Also, I sooo need a job, too. I haven't bought a book in months and it hurts. :( I need to buy some books, dangit! Gah.

Anyway, I hope you keep your resolutions! ♥ Good luck!

I love reading resolutions because of the honesty! I can relate with so many of your goals... I will be running my big (eggnog) butt off once I deliver this baby! So I am on board for the 20# loss :)

No License!! I am in shock! We drive at 12 here in the South.. starting out on 4 wheelers and golf carts :)... I bet you (a New Yorker) would think that was a crazy sight, kids driving golf carts on the roads...lol... it sounds way more hillbilly than it really is!

Sweet resolutions. As for the dropping weight, I have a friend who had some great advice regardless of how much you'd like to lose: set up a safe diet plan (eating healthy and exercise) and write it down. Think of it as a prescription from the doctor. You know when you're sick and you go to the doctor and they give you seemingly stupid advice but then it works? Follow your diet like you would a doctor's order, regardless of how much it pains you.

And good luck with the rest of the year!

Great list hun..and I know you can do it! :) I wish you the best of luck on the house hunting too. I'm sure that's so stressful right now.

Cheers *clinks glass* and here's to wishing you a fabulous 2011! :)

These resolutions are so great! I'll be posting mine later this weekend but we'll definitely have some similarities. I def. need to be more positive in 2011...the second half of my 2010 was filled with a lot of heartache too, and I want to find a way to look on the brighter side!
