Summary: So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions. Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal. Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.
My Review: Yet again another House of Night book, I wonder how long the series is going to be? I liked it, but I wasn't jumping for joy. However, I do think it's ten times better than the previous book, Hunted. I actually thought Hunted sucked because it felt like it was repeating everything that happened over and over. I was intrigued by the storyline in Tempted because we get to see Kalona's different sides. I also am now in love with Stark, I think he is an amazing character. The beginning picked up exactly where Hunted left off and the storyline did present some interesting twists and turns. Especially the craziest twist of all, the ending! I was shocked and saddened at the same time. I'm not going to give it away because it's just too unexpected. Overall, it was good and I look forward to reading the next book, Burned which comes out April 27, 2010. Merry part and merry meet again! (They say that a lot in the House of Night series for those that are like huh? lol.)
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5

I am thinking about getting this. I'm torn, I hated Hunted. Was very disappointed. I might give this a try though. Did you like Stark before or did he come out at you in this book. Because I didn't like him before because I thought he was just another potential Zoe lover to fling around and I thought she already had too many...
ParaJunkee: I didn't really like Stark before, he was a jerk and well almost raped a girl lol, but in Tempted he is an amazing character :) You should read it, it's definitely better thank the previous book :)
I put Marked on hold at the library last week (I think that's the first one in the series, hopefully!) and it just came in. I'm looking forward to starting it.
I've liked this series but not been wowed by it. Enough to keep me coming back though. This is a paperback only series for me. Thanks for the review!
These books look so good!
I felt the same as you. I wasn't jumping up and down like I was with the first few...and I didn't like the end. Guess we'll see what happens in Burned! Great review!!
Oh I forgot to say- I totally love Stark now too. He rocked in Tempted!! :)
I think that the series is going to be 12 books. Originally, I think it was 9 but now they are saying it will be 12. =/ Honestly, I am not sure it is good enough for 12 and wonder if it is being dragged out to make it longer but that's what my intel says.
Also, I agree- they aren't great books and while I haven't read this one yet (I have it, just had too much other books to read and not enough time to read), it is an okay series but not the best. I read the first 4 together but if all 4 of those weren't out, I don't think I would have kept reading.
I couldn't get past the 3rd book in the series. After reading all the comments and review, I'm thinking I didn't miss much.
theres going to be twelve...but i dont think they could possibly drag out the kalona story for another 6 books....
mind you they do only move about a week in time per book...the last one was only what four days?
I heard they are making a movie!!
YAY!!!
But if they do, they better NOT have megan foxx as Zoey she is to much a bitch to play zoey!!!!!!
