Summary: For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again. Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.
My Review: Okay, I have two words for this book, FREAKIN' AMAZING! Maggie's writing is stunning and the storyline kept me wanting more. I was hooked from the first page and fell in love with the main characters, Grace and Sam. Sam's type of personality is what every girl dreams of finding, but one problem, he's a wolf. However, the bond between Grace and Sam is so strong that they will fight to stay together throughout the whole book. Maggie's take of wolf and human girl falling in love was breathtaking and is now on my list of favorite books, move over Twilight vampires, Shiver's wolves are taking over! I recommend it to everyone, it definitely is a must read and also look out for the sequel, Linger in Fall 2010! I cannot wait...I need more Sam!
My Rating: 5 out of 5
