Waiting On Wednesday on Thursday: Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

No tantalizing releases post this week, I'm too tired to research -- it'll be back next week though for sure! Today, I'll present a cover that made me gasp when I first saw it. Yes, it's Thursday, but with Wednesday's meme. :)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Incarnate (Newsoul #1) by Jodi Meadows
Genre: Young Adult
Release Date: January 31, 2012
Pages: 384

Summary:

NEWSOUL Ana is new. For thousands of years in Range, a million souls have been reincarnated over and over, keeping their memories and experiences from previous lifetimes. When Ana was born, another soul vanished, and no one knows why.

NOSOUL Even Ana’s own mother thinks she’s a nosoul, an omen of worse things to come, and has kept her away from society. To escape her seclusion and learn whether she’ll be reincarnated, Ana travels to the city of Heart, but its citizens are suspicious and afraid of what her presence means. When dragons and sylph attack the city, is Ana to blame?

HEART Sam believes Ana’s new soul is good and worthwhile. When he stands up for her, their relationship blooms. But can he love someone who may live only once, and will Ana’s enemies—human and creature alike—let them be together? Ana needs to uncover the mistake that gave her someone else’s life, but will her quest threaten the peace of Heart and destroy the promise of reincarnation for all?

Jodi Meadows expertly weaves soul-deep romance, fantasy, and danger into an extraordinary tale of new life.

My Thoughts: Wow, from cover to summary, this book is destined to be a hit! I love the whole incarnation aspect of the plot and how it brings a deep quality to it. Plus, this photo is gorgeous! Whoever took this image, is sure damn talented. They did a great job capturing not only the beauty but the vulnerability in the model's face. I love the whole vibe, it's a shame we have to wait until next year though. But, I'm sure we'll be in for a treat when the time comes, I just feel it!

WOW! This sounds AMAZING! Even though it talks about reincarnation, the whole thing seems bigger than that, and I'm excited to know what it is! Thank you for posting this!
