After reading The Ivy, I stated in my review that this book had "a glamorous outside and an underlying element of cunning behavior" that knocked my socks off. The ending left me addicted for more, so I'm honored today to bring you a little teaser from Secrets. If you haven't read The Ivy yet, it's not too late, the next installment will be released on May 31st, so you have time to catch up!
Lauren Kunze grew up in Piedmont, California, and is the author of The Ivy. She enjoys reading, running, theater, writing bad poetry, and making Rina read her writing. At Harvard, Lauren studied English and neurobiology, and she has indefinitely deferred graduate school to focus on creative writing.
Rina Onur grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and collaborated on developing the storyline for The Ivy. She enjoys traveling, new restaurants, the Mediterranean coast, and reading Lauren's writing. After majoring in Economics at Harvard, she has worked at investment banks and in private equity management, where she comes up with story ideas when the boss isn't looking.
Summary: Reputation, Reputation, Reputation. You're a student at the most prestigious university in the country, and you've been tapped for the most elite social club. You've made it! Now Don't Blow It! Callie Andrews triumphed during her first semester at Harvard: she made incomparable friends, found the perfect boyfriend, and received invitations to the most exclusive secret societies. But she may have ruined every-thing with one ill-fated night. Now she's keeping secrets from everyone, including— Clint the upperclassman who's too good to be true Vanessa the best friend turned backstabber Gregory the guy who's a total(ly hot) mistake and Lexi the social queen who wants to bring Callie down. But Callie didn't get into Harvard by giving up, and she isn't about to now. Besides, she's not the only one with something to hide. . . .
"Leaning forward, Callie scanned the room, searching for that telltale flash of strawberry blond. “Rule Number Three: when I say ‘pencils down,’ you stop writing.” Vanessa was nowhere to be seen. Callie pulled out her phone and drafted a text: sos—where are you? Exam starts in three minutes!"
