Tantalizing Future YA Releases!

Tantalizing Future YA Releases is a weekly feature where I showcase up and coming YA covers. In addition, 'The Blast from the Past' section focuses on previously released books that still deserve a voice after a few years of silence. If you are inspired by this meme, giving credit will be greatly appreciated.

All titles are linked to GoodReads, if summaries cannot be found I will use Amazon or the publisher's website. Also, please note that covers may not be final. If changes occur I will replace the covers with the new versions.

Summary: Meet Andrea Marr, straight-A high school student, thrift-store addict, and princess of the downtown music scene. Andrea is about to experience her first love, first time, and first step outside the comfort zone of high school, with the help of indie rock band The Color Green. "After I saw Todd Sparrow something deep inside me began to change. It was not a big change and I didn't shave my head and I didn't really think any differently about my life or Hillside or anything like that. But one glimpse of Todd and you immediately realized how limited you were and all the things you could do if you could just break out of your normal existence and stop worrying about what everyone thought."

So many of these books look amazing! My TBR pile is seriously out of control, though. (Really. It's teetering on my desk as I speak.)

My mission: Get that TBR pile under control. Then, and only then!, can I indulge in some new YA.

That summery reminds me of a movie called Girl that came out in 1998 where a straight a student explores the Seatlle rock-scene. Of course...it wasn't a very good movie, but anyway it reminds me of it. Will have to take a look at this book sometime. :)
