1) Thank you Elizabeth for including me in your blog tour. Your first novel, Vampyre Kisses sounds like a jam packed supernatural read. What inspired you to write it? And, why did you decide to use vampires and witches?

EK: I honestly think that Vampyre Kisses came to me for a reason. But, I don’t think there was just one particular thing that inspired me. Normally my ideas come from out of nowhere. Sometimes I’m fantasizing about a certain fighting scene that would be neat or I’m just watching some TV. I truly am inspired by books I have read 5 years ago and books I am currently reading now. I get inspired by music, movies, the weather, my friends, my family, I look to everything for inspiration and somewhere along the line I get an idea and I run with it. I decided to use vampires and witches because they are my top two favorites. Witches being number one and vampires being number two. These beings are what I have spent my entire life reading and learning about. A writer normally writes what they know and I know witches and vampires.

2) Have you ever had a time in your life where you craved excitement, like your character Faith?

EK: Oh my Gods, yes. I usually go after the excitement that I can find. It is one of the reasons I traveled to Ireland by myself and plan on going sky diving in the Spring. I can’t live a boring life; I don’t think I was meant to.

3) Since, Vampyre Kisses is a start to a series, what can we expect as readers from the next installments?

EK: The next book is going to be based more on werewolves and their history. In Vampyre Kisses I do so much with vampires that it foreshadows the werewolves. But in the next book there are werewolf deaths going on and an all-new type of vampire is going to be coming into the series. It’s going to be great!
