Thank you all for participating! There were so many amazing entries! Brenda has written a note to those of you who participated in The Emerald Talisman Re-Create Cover Contest. I'll be contacting the winners through e-mail shortly!
------------------------------
I first want to thank Eleni for hosting such a fabulous blog and book tour, including this incredible cover remake contest! You’ve been so incredible for doing all this for me and I’m forever grateful! As far as these amazing entries, geesh! I’m totally blown away.
(Eleni: It was my pleasure Brenda! xoxo)
The creativity and thought put into the covers was awesome (and you all haven’t even read the book!). So, I’ve decided to give 3 prizes after looking at all the entries. I solicited help from hubby and a great author friend of mine to judge because I was stuck.
Together, we chose the winner to be:
Caitlin at http://scarrletreader.blogspot.com/2010/09/cover-contests-update.html
The image you chose was super powerful, depicting the power of the talisman in her hands. Also using the spooky forest at the bottom adds to the drama which perfectly matches the story. Congrats!
Your prize: The Emerald Talisman, The Sapphire Talisman, bookmark, and a shout-out in the acknowledgments section.
My runners up are:
Marium at http://mariamaarouf.blogspot.com/2010/09/emerald-talisman-cover-re-make-contest.html
I love that you can only see her hair and neck, with *grin* my on the front (clever Photoshopping skills there) and the forest background is a great touch, giving it almost an Irish feel.
Your prize: Bookmark and a shout-out in the acknowledgments section with a discount on The Emerald Talisman if wanted.
Amelia at http://theauthoress-amelia.blogspot.com/2010/09/emerald-talisman-cover-remake.html
The background and the talisman you did used are amazing. It’s so close to what I actually imagined for the talisman to look like, old and mysterious. The background depicts the same thing, something dark and foreboding.
Your prize: Bookmark and a shout-out in the acknowledgments section with a discount on The Emerald Talisman if wanted.
So, everyone is getting a shout-out in the sequel! And my runners up will get special discounts if they’d like to get the books. Please forward your address’ to Eleni so I can send you all bookmarks too. Thanks for participating everyone and feel free to look out for the next remake for the sequel, The Sapphire Talisman, hosted again by Eleni, November 30th, 2010.
