BEA Experience

Wow, what a crazy three days its been! It was my first time attending BEA and overall it was amazing! I met so many awesome authors and bloggers. It was nice to put faces to some people. Besides my excitement it was also very tiring. My feet and shoulders are in a whole lot of pain. But, I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. Being in New York definitely helps since traveling isn't a problem for me. I seriously can't wait to attend next year! I really hope to see more bloggers that couldn't get a chance to attend this year. Anywho, below are all the pics of me with my clique of bloggers and all the phenomenal amount of ARC's I snagged. Did you go to BEA this year? I'd love to know your thoughts! :)

Jennifer (Reading With Tequila), Lexie (Poisoned Rationality), Taschima (Bloody Bookaholic), Emily (Red House Books), Sherry (Flipping Pages For All Ages), and Me

Sherry and Me :)

We're goofballs...

Sherry, Simone Elkeles (Ahh! Love Her!), Kelsey (The Book Scout), Me

Paperback Books:
(Too many books to list, press picture to make it bigger.)

Hardcover Books:

Adult Fiction Books:

Swag:

So that wraps up my epic experience at the BEA! It will be missed, till next year...

I also wanted to throw in a quick thank you to Brenda Pandos, author of The Emerald Talisman. She presented a few bloggers with this award for reviewing her book. A part of my review is now published in her book. I'm so excited and honored to be in it! Thank you again!

Well no wonder why I hardly saw you. My clique was totally different. I actually spent most of my time alone or with Rebecca and Steph Su. Well it was nice to say hi for all of like 30 seconds!

Dude! I almost bought that copy of You, but changed my mind at the last minute. You have me to thank for that copy. *nods*

Please explain to me how everyone else got I Am Number 4 and I missed it.

Looks like you had a great time at BEA! I am so jealous of the books, the authors, and the blogger meet-ups!

I had such a great time meeting you! I think I may be permanently damaged, but at least I'm not terrified of NY anymore. And I was totally serious about recruiting you as my NY buddy when I hear about something bookish going on up there.

I'm hoping to get my post - with the 1 lone picture I took up by Monday.

Absolutely love the pics you've posted up! I'd love to go to something like that, but it's just too far away. Instead I'm opting for Brisbane Writers Festival in Australia. But somehow I don't think it will be as cool as BEA.

Great Collection of Books too. So Jealouse :) Happy Reading.

Alexia561 said...

Great collection of books! Would be jealous that you were able to get Feed and Rot & Ruin, but think I have plenty to read for quite awhile now. :)

Totally agree with you that all of the pain was worth it. Told my husband that BEA was my Woodstock! *L*

I think that I just turned completely green with jealousy. I definitely need to go to BEA next year.

So many great books, enjoy! :)

I regret not putting more thought into BEA...How did you land so many books? Did you buy them? Were they free? Contests?

Anyway, the Linger bookmark is beautiful. I can't wait to get my hands on the book. (I won a copy of it.)

Jess. said...

Ahhh I'm so sad I missed you! Maybe next year haha. Totally jealous that you got Feed. That book looks amazing. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

I'm officially green with envy. Looks like BEA was a lot of fun, and that stash of books is practically droolworthy. Nice going!

Eleni said...

Riv Re: Everything was free. I made sure to make my rounds repeatedly and also plan a schedule for myself to land all these books. Good question, hope to see you next year! :)

Looks like everyone had a great time at BEA. Have fun reading all the books you got!

Tabathia B said...

It looks like fun. Wish I could have attended. What do you think about others that attended just to sell the ARCs they received online...heard there have been alot of complaining about this. Do you think this will heart BEA next year?

Mary not so Contrary said...

Can I be you?!?!!! Great stash!!! Have fun reading it all and good luck reading it all. I just read the above comment and I have to say that I may not be a book blogger but I love book blogs and I think that those who are selling there ARCs are awful people! That is so beyond rude!!!

Eleni said...

Tabathia: I agree with Mary not contrary, it truly is horrible and sad. Publishers spend so much money on ARC's and it's not right that people feel the need to sell them. I consider my ARC's prized possessions and would never sell them. However, I don't think it'll hurt BEA. Out of the thousands that attended, a few will prolly have the balls to do that. Great question!

gowiththeFLO said...

wow, you got so many books it's scary...really scary. jk. you got The Clockwork Angel, I'm jealous, no, not really. Maybe a bit.

Book Butterfly (Kim) said...

My heart skipped a beat when I saw all your awesome books!! I wish I could've gone and hung out with you guys! Maybe next year. So glad you got to go- it seems like a BLAST!

Debbie's World of Books said...

OMG, so jealous you got a copy of Clockwork Angel! I wish I could have been there. Sounds like everyone had a great time.

Gah! I am immensely jealous! ;) BEA sounds amazing and look at all of those amazing books. I'm extremely jealous of Delirium. BEA looks like Christmas for book fanatics haha.
