Monday's Question of the Day!

*You are welcome to use my meme - just credit me please*

Question: What was your favorite book(s) when you were younger?

My Answer: Well, I didn't start actually reading for pleasure until about 13 years old. I was a big fan of R.L. Stine books, I pretty much collected a lot of them. And still to this day I enjoy a nice "scary" book, I guess it sticks with you as you grow older.

I'd love to know your answers, so leave me a comment :)

REMINDER:

I agree with the RL Stine books... I also read the Boxcar kids in elementary school... and Babysitter's Club. But my favorite was definitely Mr. Popper's Penguins and/or The Wainscott Weasel. =)

I loved christopher pike books and I remember this book as my favorite-- The girl with the silver eyes. I also read the Sweet Valley High along with Nancy drew books..But I think the series I read and loved was Christopher Pike. He was the man.( dating myself and I'm not that old)

The Chronicles of Narnia was a staple, as was Watership Down.
Hate to admit it, but the Stine books were long after my childhood. LOL

My favorite book was Elric of Melniboné by Michael Moorcock. It was the first real fantasy novel I'd read and it jut blew me away. To this day, it's still my #1 favorite series. :)

My dad read me Lord of The Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.
On my own I read the Anne of Green Gables series (always a favorite) and sneaked the Sweet Valley High books. :)

Hmm, either the first Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot (I started reading late in elementary), or Nancy Drew books. Can't go wrong with Nancy ;)

I loved the Babbysitters Club books, and The Ramona series of books. I do believe somewhere in my mothers house she still has every single book packed up and waiting for me to officially settle in (to my own house).

for a different, perhaps controversial and volatile read, please consider the true novel Euclid Avenue Our scars mean something. it is the first in a series of three true life portrayals and depicts the first 24 yrs of a young person's life. the press release can be seen at eloquentbooks.com/euclidavenue.html. the first chapter can be seen at bookdaily.com. excerpts can be viewed in the photo album on facebook-R Keith Rytaran. the book is available through amazon, barnes & noble, books & co, books-a-million, borders and select hallmark book stores. for the purposes of review, a copy of the book is available upon request from the author.

When I was running out of YA to read at the young age of 10 or so, my mom gave me Lightning and also Watchers by Dean Koontz - both adult books but I loved them! They still remain as two of my favorite books!
