Monday's Questions of the Day!

*You are welcome to use my meme - just credit me please*

Question: Did you ever miss a character after you finished reading a book?

My Answer: Yes! I was obsessed with Edward and Bella's story and when the series ended for me I went through Twilight withdrawal. Has anyone ever have an Edward dream while reading Twilight? Or is it just me? Haha

I would love to hear your thoughts or even ideas for question of the day, leave a comment!

I can't say I've ever had an Edward dream! At least, not one that was memorable enough for me to recall.

My answer is here.

Yes, definitely. I remember going through a withdrawal after I finished Catching Fire. Oh man, I stormed around my house for days just randomly talking about the book and the characters. The series is just so infectious, I love it!

I also went through Sam/Grace withdrawals after I finished Shiver. *happy sigh*

Not exactly missed but sad without. Hermione and Ron, but not individually, just together. It was so funny to see them bicker.

I did miss the Disreputable Dog from Abhorsen by Garth Nix.

Absolutely! I think for me the worst was after reading A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. I am 100% smitten with Lachlain and literally squeal in delight when he makes even the shortest guest appearance in one of the other IAD books.

~dreamy sigh~ What can I say...I have a thing for sexy Scottish accents and Lykae. : D

Too many book characters to count at this point. It almost always happened after I finish a really good/well written book. Catching Fire and The Graveyard Book are just two very recent examples.

I wanted something more for Jacob. I wasn't happy with the way the series ended. Now if Stephanie Meyers were to do an offshoot series with Jacob, without Renesmee I would be the first in line to buy the book. I just thought the whole ending was off in the last book. (Hugs)Indigo

Oh yeah! I had major withdrawal from Twilight. Edward is amazing, lol. :) I'm trying to think of others. I'm reading Vampire Kisses 6 and I'm gonna miss vamp Alexander Sterling so much. I hope there will be more vamp kisses books. I also love Stefan from Vampire Diaries. Hmm... just a few, lol. Great question!!!

Haha, I tend to miss the characters from whatever book I'm reading at the moment. I usually read late at night before I go to bed, and then I dream about the characters in the book. So, your definately not alone in the dreaming about characters.

I don't exactly miss 'em, but they just sort of move in. Most of the books I read are for children or middle-grade age and they seem to think my house is a great place to crash. Considering how much reading I do, you can imagine how crowded my house is getting. And that Junie B. Jones is just a laugh a minute! ~ Yaya

I went through withdrawal when I first read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It didn't help that you just fell in love with Jamie. And then there was some withdrawal last year when I finished reading Strangers in Paradise. Sigh... Great question though!

"Withdrawals" is too weak a word for what I went through after the last Harry Potter book. I mourned. I missed them like my closest friends. Then I realized, "Duh! I can read it over!"
As for just one character that I've missed, that'd have to Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye. I was even worried about him for a few days after I finished and I couldn't stop wondering what had happened to him. I really like that kid.
