New Moon Movie Review:

Okay, who saw New Moon yet?? I saw it last night at 10:00 p.m.! Don't worry for those that haven't seen it yet, I won't spoil anything, so keep reading :) I saw it with my boyfriend (yes I dragged him!), one of his friends (which is a die hard Twilight fan, which is awesome since he's a dude) and one of my closest friends. After work, I went to Queens, I work in Manhattan so I had to commute. Me and my friend met up with my boyfriend and his friend and we went to a buffet and stuffed our faces. I love crab legs! Yum yum. We made it at the theater by 8:00 p.m., we wanted to get there at least two hours early. Usually a long line starts developing before the movie showing. I fortunately had bought my tickets off of Fandango so I already had the precious tickets in my hand :) Inside, we literally were the second people in line! I was so happy because I knew we'd find great seats, right in the middle baby!

Now let's get down to the movie...personally I wasn't a huge fan of Twilight. I thought the acting was eh and the special effects were cheesy. But, New Moon I must say surpassed my expectations! I thought the director did a great job and I hope they use him for the other two movies as well. The special effects were better, especially during the fighting scenes. My favorite part of the movie would definitely have to be Jacob and Bella's blossoming relationship. Taylor did an amazing job as Jacob, he definitely captured the essence of his character. Also his body was phenomenal, every time he came on screen I'd gasp because he really took my breath away! I honestly am an Edward fan in the books but for some reason in the movies I kind of lean towards Jacob more. Oh well, as for Bella she was okay, I still think her acting is
n't all that great and Edward was cute even when he looked sickly lol.

Throughout the movie my boyfriend kept asking me questions which I thought was adorable. He never saw the first one so that's why he was confused at times. I'm just happy he didn't fall asleep. But, as a guy that could care less about our sappy addiction to Twilight, he said, "it was wack." Typical guy response. Overall, I enjoyed it but I still feel like something is missing, I still want more! Eh, I'll never be satisfied as much as I am with the books. Oh and the ending was a total cliffhanger - even though most of us knows what happens! Okay that wraps up my thoughts, please let me know your opinions of New Moon, I'm curious to know!

I leave you with this...*gasp*

Great IMM this week! I can't wait to read Deadly Little Lies.

You can check out my IMM post here.

In regards to New Moon, I went Friday night, and in all honesty wasn't blown away by it. I actually prefer Twilight to New Moon.

But in all honesty, even the books were difficult for me to get through. Overall, I enjoy the series, but I guess I don't understand all the hype about it.

I thought the movie was okay myself and definatly better than the first one. I am not a huge twilight fan myself. I thought it went with the book as good as a movie could.

A couple of funny things that happend at the theater..since you talk about Jacob..lol..the scene where he takes his shirt off to dab the blood on Bella's face..well this lady in front of me said, Oh my.. and there was a few gasps..lol..then a guy said..Calm down ladies..it was so funny..LOL

The end made this guy shout out..You have got to be kidding me! Now that was too funny.

Awesome books this week! Happy reading! As for the movie, I LOVED it. So awesome. Unfortunately some other dude, David Slade (directed 30 Days Of Night) already did the third one, but I really hope they bring Chris Weitz back for the fourth. They did an awesome job. :)

It was pretty obvious that they had a much bigger budget for New Moon than the original Twilight, which made a big difference in a lot of the action / special effects scenes
