Question: Which book did you have high expectations for, but when you read it, it sucked?
My Answer: I have two that stick out in my mind - Generation Dead: Kiss of Life by Daniel Waters and The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall by L.J. Smith. I really enjoyed Daniel Water's first book Generation Dead but the sequel bored me to death! It had no substance and lacked creativity. As for the Vampire Diaries, I loved the first two but this third book was again hard to read. I literally had to force myself to finish it, the storyline just ended up being plain stupid. If any of you liked the books cool, but I hated them :)
I would love to hear your thoughts, leave a comment!

Mine would have to be the Immortal Anthology. I honestly didn't even finish it. I felt that all of the writing in it was just... Bad. Almost amateur. Basically I filtered around the book reading the stories of authors I know like Rachel Vincent. But the other stories, I didn't even bother reading.
I thought of three books. I wrote about them in this post.
One recent read was The Time Traveller's Wife. I guess I thought he was going to go someplace cool - in time. But it dragged a bit for me.
Storm Breaker by Anthony Horowitz hands down. I heard it was great but it was really boring.
OH no! I like Generation Dead and Vampire Diaries. I hope their not too bad when i read them.
But i am finding it hard 2 get into VD: Nightfall.
as for a book that sucked 4 me was...hmmm.... Breaking Dawn, i mean i LOVE the Twilight series but i kind of forced myself 2 read it, b/c i read the rest of the series and was like now i HAVE 2 finish it. I liked the 1st 3 books but Breaking was kind of off but then again i was a little tired of vamps.
Oooh, interesting question. I can only really think of the Twilight series. But that wasn't awful.
That's actually easier to answer than I thought it'd be. Breaking Dawn, Twilight book #4. It was just too weird! I felt like she jumped too far into "the end" right at the beginning, so I was sitting there asking myself, "Well, what's left to tell afterthat?" What was left was just too bizarre for me!
BTW, love the new layout!!! :D
For me it was Cyn Balog's Fairy Tale. I had read such good reviews but found it shallow with no chemistry to speak of between the main characters. And I know so many people who loved it. Maybe the sequel will be better
I'd have to say Hollow was my latest and greatest disappointment.
