Eat, Pray, Love Movie News!

I'm sure some of you have heard of Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, I attempted to read this book once, the beginning was interesting but towards the middle it was Zzzzz's for me so I never finished it! :/ However, I know some people that really loved this book, so great news, it's being turned into a movie! It's release is supposed to be in 2011? I'm not so sure because some sites say 2010, anywho, also the infamous Julia Roberts is playing the main role! I love Julia, so I'm sure she'll make the film amazing :) Their isn't a trailer yet, but I'll let you know when it comes out! Below is some info on the movie!

Plot: A woman who once made it her goal in life to marry and rear a family finds her priorities suddenly shifting in director Ryan Murphy's adaptation of author Elizabeth Gilbert's best-selling memoir. In the eyes of many, Gilbert was a woman who had it all -- a loving husband, a great apartment, and a weekend home -- but sometimes one realizes too little too late that they haven't gotten what they truly wanted from life. On the heels of a painful divorce, the woman who had previously looked forward to a contented life of domesticated bliss sets out to explore the world and seek out her true destiny. Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner produce a film starring Pretty Woman and Erin Brockovich beauty Julia Roberts.

Yiiippi! I really liked the book. I would recommend you to try the audiobook. Gilbert herself reads it and I think she is a great reader :)

Thanks for sharing!

I loved the first part *Eat*, and the final part *Love*, but it was all I could do to get myself through the 2nd part *Pray*. But that's just me! I think the movie will be worth seeing.

A coworker of mine was just reading this book on her lunch break last night. She says she is really enjoying it. I'll have to let her know about the movie. Already wrote it down for her!

Thanks for the news Eleni!

I doubt I'll read the book, but I'll probably get the movie on video.

I skimmed the Pray part of the book because I was familiar with the ashram where Elizabeth was staying. I wanted to see how accurate her description was. I could see that she attended very much as a "tourist" and didn't see beyond the facade (very beautiful) of the place. If you are interested to know more about what that ashram and that organization was like, I invite you to read the memoir I wrote, The Guru Looked Good. Thanks for this great blog, Eleni!
