My Review: Taken by Storm literally swept me off my feet! I fell in love with Angela's writing and was quickly smitten by their forbidden romance. I enjoyed the character development which gave me a chance to get to know each individual. Michael in my opinion was definitely a complex person, but most of the time I felt bad for him. He lost his parents at sea and was having a hard time dealing with it. He suffered with nightmares and flashbacks and needed an escape, which turned out to be Leesie. But, Leesie a.k.a the Ice Queen, was very frigid at first and had many rules. Now, for Michael, who wasn't religious, had a tough time coming to terms with that. I was intrigued by the cat and mouse relationship between Leesie and Michael. My favorite part of the book was Leesie's poems because it expressed how she was really feeling deep down. If Angela wasn't an author, she could definitely be a poet! The poems were full of powerful words that moved me emotionally. I couldn't put the book down, however the ending made me a little sad, it didn't really turn out the way I wanted it to, but I understand why Angela left it off that way. The great message in the book is that some people come into your life for a reason, they might be passing by or staying forever.
