Summary: When the Prom Queen becomes your fairy godmother…
Sixteen year old Jess Parker gets the chance of a lifetime: an invitation to join a secret society of popular girls where makeover fantasies become reality. But there’s more to membership in The Cinderella Society than meets the eye. Being a Cindy means reinventing yourself from the inside out, a concept lost on Jess as she dives tiara-first into creating a hot new look.
Be careful what you wish for. Jess’s transformation wins her the heart of the Varsity quarterback and a shot at uber-popularity. Until the Wickeds–led by Jess’s arch enemy–begin targeting innocent girls in their war against the Cindys, and Jess discovers the real force behind her exclusive society. It’s a centuries-old battle of good vs. evil, and the Cindys in power need Jess on special assignment. When the mission threatens to destroy her dream life come true, Jess is forced to choose between living a fairy tale and honoring the Sisterhood…and herself. What’s a girl to do when the glass slipper fits, but she doesn’t want to wear it anymore?

My Review: Kay Cassidy did an awesome job with this book, it was well written and the story sucked me right in. I'm not really a fan of chick lit type books, since they're so generic, but I really enjoyed this one. Jess, is your typical, average, insecure kinda girl. But, when she is invited to join the Cindy's, she not only feels wanted but, has a drastic transformation. I enjoyed seeing her come out of her cocoon into a beautiful butterfly, I know that sounds cheesy hehe. The Cindy's main role is to defeat the Wickeds (their enemy) and protect the Reggies (the non-Cindy's or Wickeds). This book reminds of the two movies Mean Girls and Bring It On, also their is cheereleading involved so thats where Bring It On comes into play. Overall great book and I can't wait to read the sequel in 2011! Great job Kay on your first book, I truly was intrigued by the storyline and can't wait to see what moves Jess takes against the Wickeds!
