Book Review: Dead Girl Walking by Linda Joy Singleton

Summary: I am so dead... Now, was I supposed to go left or right at the Light? Seventeen-year-old Amber Borden has a lousy sense of direction—so lousy that she takes a wrong turn when returning from her near-death experience. She ends up in the body of the most popular girl in school, who has just tried to commit suicide. Can a girl who can't even navigate the halls of Halsey High discover the secrets of her new identity and find her way back to her own life?

My Review: I thought this book was really cute, it's a fast read and it will keep you interested until the ending, even though it makes you want to have Book 2 right next to you so you can continue the journey. The book has humor, romance and it's an overall fun read. I recommend it if you're looking for something to read this Summer.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Also, Book 2 is out already, which I'll be reviewing soon.. so when you are done reading it, check out Dead Girl Dancing...

I can't believe I'm in the wrong body—again!
Apparently, this freaky phenomenon of stepping into someone's life—and their body—has a name: Temp Lifer. And when my dead grandmother heaped on the praise for a job well done last time, I sort of let it happen again. (Grrr... thanks, Grammy.)So now I'm hungover and gazing in the mirror at . . . my boyfriend's older sister, who is getting ready to go wild on spring break—while being pursued by a psycho stalker and a Dark Lifer. Help!

Book 3, Dead Girl in Love, is being published August 1, 2009, so look out for that!

Oh, wow - I'm my own best friend. Or at least, I'm in her body...
Okay, this Temp-Lifer assignment will be quick and easy. Thanks, Grammy! See, my dead grandmother keeps finding people who need help and then I have the freaky experience of stepping into their life - and their body! - to help them solve their problems. This time, I'm in the body of my BFF, Alyce. Since Alyce and I know everything about each other, I won't have to do a lot of detective work, which is a plus. But I won't have my best friend to confide in - a definite minus. I can get help from my boyfriend Eli - plus! (He's so relieved I'm not his "sister" anymore.) But, as Alyce, I've got some really compelling questions to answer - starting with, "What am I doing in this coffin?"

Thanks for the review!!! You did a great job! And it's cool you mentioned the others books, too. Hope you enjoy DEAD GIRL DANCING next. I think the best will be DEAD GIRL IN LOVE since I listened to my readers and put in more romance and Dark Lifer danger.
