Which book would make a great TV Show?

My Response: TV shows such as The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars have proved that YA books have the ability to turn into great shows. Over the years, I've read books that potentially could be on our TV screens every week. Here are some of my choices: The House of Night series by P.C. + Kristin Cast, Perfect Chemistry series by Simone Elkeles, The Ghost & The Goth by Stacey Kade, etc. My list could go on and on! I'm curious to see if more YA books will be turned into TV shows. I know that movies are definitely in the works, so we'll see if any future TV shows are inspired by our lovely YA authors.

What are your bookish thoughts?

I think it would be awesome to see a TV show based on Anna and the French Kiss--you know, something surrounding American students in a school in France. :)

It would have to be a series...other wise the plot would be to short :)

great post.

I woke up Sunday a.m. to find my blog, my 500 plus followers, my 100plus author interviews, and my 200 plus reviews gone. Blogger gave no explanation, but I think the account was hacked. Change your password often!

I have reloaded the interviews and reviews, plus redesigned the blog. But if you could, please hit the "follow" button so I can reclaim the fellow bloggers I miss. Please also pass the link around and spread word for me.

I think that The Karma Club by Jessica Brody would make a great show. And I think that Jonathan Maberry's character Joe Ledger, and the ideas from those books would be a great show as well.

I thought The Hunger Games would make a GREAT television show before they optioned it for a movie...

I'm very partial to Stacey Jay's Megan Berry books, I think with a little tweaking they'd make a really fun TV series. With the Buffy-esque snarky dialog and great characters + the zombie thing. Yep, I think it'd be a lot of fun.

I think the House of Night series would make a good TV show. The books aren’t one of my most favorite series to read, but I think they would make a fun TV show.

I think Cross My Heart and hope to die, Vampire Academy, the Mediator series, the 1-800-Where-R-You series, the blue blood series, and bright young things would all make great tv shows :)

I'm still waiting for someone to make a TV show from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunters series. With so many books in this series, it could go on for years.

Another book series that I wanted to see on TV or cinema was Vampire Academy, and the first VA book is already being made into a movie. Imdb.com says it's due out in 2013, yay!

I think Vampire Academy would make a great TV series, along with City of Bones because they're so easy to expand on.
