My Review: You know who saved me from a reading slump? Rachel Hawkins, that's who! Last year, I was introduced to Hex Hall, an impressive supernatural debut with fun characters and cute boys. Rachel's charm and fluidity remained strong throughout the first novel and happily continued on with the sequel, Demonglass. In Hex Hall, Sophie's feistiness and sarcasm pulled me into her world quickly. So, once I was reminded of her personality in Demonglass, I remembered why Sophie landed on my list of favorite protagonists. This time around, Sophie, her best friend Jenna and grounds keeper Cal, go to England for the summer. There, she is living under the roof of her father, with two other demons who she didn't know existed.

Talk of Sophie's arrival, conjured up the idea to go through the "removal" to eliminate the danger from her over the top magic. But, of course nothing ever goes as planned. In Hex Hall, I was gaga over Archer, but since he didn't have a profound role, I became heartsmitten for Cal. Not that I don't love Archer, Cal just sneaked his way in there. The character additions of Daisy and Nick were great! It was fun getting to know more about demons, it definitely helped me understand Sophie better. All in all, it was such an exciting follow-up. I am really looking forward to the next installment. I am very curious to see where Rachel's creative mind will lead us.
