Summary: Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home. The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?
My Review: Crescendo, was a phenomenal sequel that out shined Hush, Hush. The continued story about fallen angels vs. Nephilim was thrilling and fun. A lot of answers were revealed while new elements and characters were added. In Hush, Hush, the main character, Nora was naive and lost. While, in this book she was more aware and open to unexpected occurrences. The only trait I found annoying was her indecisive feelings towards Patch. Right through Crescendo, she persistently struggled with their forbidden love which was playing with fire. I do understand why Nora experienced those emotions, but felt she lacked the commitment behind her actions. In addition to the tension build up between their relationship, the whole mystery behind her father's death was presented. I became engulfed in the twists and turns that Nora walked into and yearned for answers.
A new character that intrigued me, besides Patch of course, was Scott. He recently moved back into town when trouble started following him. Nora knew Scott from when they were younger and was put into the equation of making him feel welcomed. Their friendship was a little rocky due to Scott's jerkish ways. However, I wanted to know more about Scott and was shocked when his true story unraveled. Hush, Hush readers already know who Vee was, Nora's best friend. Yes, sometimes she was overbearing and a pain, but boy was she one funny chick! Her one liners were priceless that left me laughing. It was a great way of lightening up a mood when it got too serious. Finally, the ending was crazy! A total unforeseen cliffhanger left me drooling for the next installment. Becca's writing is truly a force of nature that will continue to feed my need of sexy, bad boys and cool plots.

Author's Info:
Becca Fitzpatrick's first book, Hush, Hush debuted as a New York Times bestseller. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling. When not writing, she's most likely running, prowling sale racks for shoes or watching crime dramas on TV. She lives in Colorado.

Summary: For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Another awesome review, Eleni!
I've read Hush, Hush a couple of months ago (I think) but, frankly, I didn't like it that much. Sure, it was new to me - the first fallen angel novel I read - and, sure, I like her simple writing style, but I didn't feel the "love" everyone's talking about; he sounded like he hated her until the last chapters, and she always sounded so unsure of herself - it made me wanna grab her and shake her into reality LOL
Anywayy,...
'Suppose I can give this one a shot, too, when it comes out, since you said it's better than Hush, Hush :))
