Summary: Reputation, Reputation, Reputation. You're a student at the most prestigious university in the country, and you've been tapped for the most elite social club. You've made it! Now Don't Blow It! Callie Andrews triumphed during her first semester at Harvard: she made incomparable friends, found the perfect boyfriend, and received invitations to the most exclusive secret societies. But she may have ruined every-thing with one ill-fated night. Now she's keeping secrets from everyone, including— Clint the upperclassman who's too good to be true Vanessa the best friend turned backstabber Gregory the guy who's a total(ly hot) mistake and Lexi the social queen who wants to bring Callie down. But Callie didn't get into Harvard by giving up, and she isn't about to now. Besides, she's not the only one with something to hide. . . .

My Review: The first installment in The Ivy series was packed with unforgettable drama and flawlessly in depth characters. In the end, I was left amazed and thirsty for more! So, when I picked up the sequel, the same feeling surfaced again. Lauren and Rina did a great job refreshing my mind and making me feel like I never stopped reading the story. In my opinion, it shows great craftsmanship when a reader isn't confused by jumping into the next book months later. During Secrets, Callie not only dealt with the ongoing guy problems but now her best friend and arch nemesis increased her stress level. Also, her secret followed her into her next semester with tests of ultimate sacrifices. The cycle of ups and downs were increasingly difficult but her internal growth was commendably strong.

Gregory, my favorite guy character, sustained his breathless presence in the text. While Callie's on and off again boyfriend, Clint, dashed his charming ways like no other. I absolutely adore all the characters, especially Callie's roommates. Each secondary individual contributed a shining light into the plot, leaving no room for unnecessary moments. After reading it in one sitting, I've developed a love for every part of this synchronized novel. Yet again, I was left with a heart stopping ending, which of course will drive me crazy until next year. Honestly, the visualization behind the Harvard setting would make a great television show or movie, so hopefully one day that'll happen. I recommend you read this if you're looking for a Young Adult series with a mature vibe. Plus, the guys are so damn good looking! It makes me regret not being a straight A student, my college days suck compared to The Ivy series. :)

My Rating:
